The 13th Annual Los Angeles Healthcare Awards will take place on Friday, November 13, 2026, bringing together physicians, healthcare executives, policymakers, philanthropists, community leaders, and industry partners from across Los Angeles County.

 

Presented by the FutureMedLA Foundation, the charitable arm of the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the Awards recognize individuals and organizations whose vision, service, advocacy, innovation, and public impact are improving healthcare across the region.

 

Following the renewed momentum of the 2025 event, the 2026 Awards continue a tradition more than a decade in the making. This year’s honorees reflect the breadth of leadership influencing healthcare in Los Angeles today, from protecting access to care and advancing public health policy to pioneering new models of behavioral health, expanding community-based care, and elevating public understanding through journalism.

 

The evening will also showcase the impact of FutureMedLA donor support, highlighting how contributions help fund scholarships, physician leadership development, and programs that strengthen the healthcare workforce and invest in the next generation of medicine.

Dr. Kenneth Sim is the inaugural recipient of the LACMA Legacy Award, recognizing a previously honored Los Angeles Healthcare Awards recipient whose influence has continued to grow. Since 2014, he has helped build one of the nation’s leading physician-led healthcare organizations, supporting more than 20,000 providers caring for over 1.5 million patients while advancing physician leadership, innovation, and coordinated care.

COMMUNITY IMPACT AWARD

Jim Mangia is recognized for his leadership in helping unite Los Angeles County behind Measure ER, securing historic funding for the region’s healthcare safety net. As President and CEO of St. John’s Community Health, he helped build the coalition that will protect healthcare access for vulnerable communities for generations to come.

Supervisor Hilda L. Solis is recognized for her leadership in advancing healthcare access, health equity, and public well-being throughout Los Angeles County. From helping lead the successful Measure ER effort to responding to public health emergencies, she has championed policies that strengthen the county’s healthcare safety net and protect vulnerable communities.
