The FutureMedLA Foundation is dedicated to powering the future of healthcare in Los Angeles County by developing physician leaders and advocates, supporting innovative medical students, and funding community-driven solutions that address the region's most pressing healthcare challenges. Through leadership development, scholarships, and grants, we strive to foster a healthier, more equitable future for all Angelenos.
We aim to build the leadership capabilities of physicians, preparing them not only as clinical experts but also as influential advocates for systemic change.
We believe that great healthcare starts with great leaders. That’s why we help physicians develop the skills they need to advocate for their patients, influence healthcare policies, and drive meaningful improvements in the system. Our Community Solution Grants support local organizations and grassroots projects that tackle pressing healthcare issues like access to care and health equity. By backing these initiatives, we’re helping communities take control of their health and well-being.
Formerly known as the Patient Care Foundation, the FutureMedLA Foundation is the newly reimagined charitable arm of the Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA). While our name has changed, our purpose has never been more clear—or more urgent. FutureMedLA is focused on developing physician leaders, supporting innovative medical students, and funding community-driven healthcare solutions that address the most pressing challenges facing our region.
As healthcare continues to evolve, so must the way we prepare the next generation of professionals who will shape its future. FutureMedLA is answering that call through three key pillars:
Training Grants
Provide grants for leadership training, certifications, and conference participation to equip physicians with advanced skills.
Mentorship Initiatives
Establish a network connecting students and emerging physician leaders with seasoned advocates and policymakers
Scholarships for Innovation
Award scholarships to students proposing innovative solutions to healthcare challenges in Los Angeles County.
Funding Community-Focused Solutions
